NATURAL STONE

Natural stone has long been one of the leading construction materials, because of its unique properties, such as strength, durability and aesthetic appearance. As a natural product of various influences in the nature, each stone is unique, differ from others by their color, texture and structure.

The samples of stones, presented on our website, are intended to illustrate the essential color and structural characteristics of a particular stone. Stone is a natural material and therefore that may occur deviations in color, structure and texture.

MARBLE

Marble is a metamorphic rock, composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. It is formed as a result of the recrystallization of limestone under the intense pressure and heat of geologic processes.

Characteristics and applications: marble is more suitable for indoor use, as it is less resistant to weather influences. Thanks to its elegant appearance is the ideal choice for floor and wall cladding as well as for other decorative purposes

GRANITE

Granite is a granular igneous rock (plutonic rock), consists of different minerals, mainly quartz, potassium feldspar and acid plagioclase.

Characteristics and applications: Granite is used for a variety of structural and decorative purposes. Due to its structure, color diversity, strength and durability, is extremely useful and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

In the pictures below you can see examples of granite that are very popular among customers.

TRAVERTINE

Travertine is one of the types of sedimentary rocks, created by sitting buffed material, which are bonded and cured under the pressure from upper layers at a relatively low temperature on the earth’s surface. Travertine is a material that comes naturally with holes and pores. As a material is porous and contains air bubbles, which serves as a thermal insulating material. It is available in a variety of natural colors such as beige, brown, gray, gold.

Characteristics and applications: Travertine has good insulation properties and is therefore used for cladding facades and interior walls.

SANDSTONE

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of feldspar and quartz. There are several types of sandstone, which differ among themselves in color and hardness. It is a porous and therefore capable of storing large quantities of water.

Characteristics and applications: Sandstone is suitable for coating a variety of surfaces, thanks to its resistance to different climatic conditions is also suitable for outdoor use. Because of their colourfulness is also attractive in accommodation spaces.

QUARTZ

Quartz is crystallised silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is usually white or transparent, although it can be found in other colours if it comes into contact with impurities during its formation. It is one of the hardest, most abundant minerals found in nature – only diamond, sapphire and topaz are harder.

Characteristics and applications: because of its extreme hardness and resistance to acids, is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use, and manufacture of various types of products. Quartz is also the main component of Silestone.
